- It will take several tries to get the hang of making a good Skinny Cap. My last one was so good, I used it for three years.
- Always hold the can upright. Don't tilt the can sideways when you paint, or the paint may spill out.
- Wear latex or non-latex gloves. This technique is messy.
- Paint will gather in the cap quickly. Pour it out often so that your lines are clean. Too much paint in the cap with give you a spray that spits too much.
- Wipe the cap and blow the hole to keep it clear.
- Bring an X-acto or something with you to clear the hole in case the paint dries and clogs it.
- Different nozzles will give you different results.
